Prasarana extends its peak hour services for buses and trains throughout Ramadan

Looks like bus and trains users are in for a treat. Recently, Prasarana announced it will extend the peak hours for bus and rail services throughout this fasting month. So, what should you know about it?

For your information, this change will affect all rail services such as the LRT, MRT and KL Monorail. It will also affect buses operated by Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana). Prasarana says it aims to facilitate the journey of users throughout the month of Ramadan, especially for those who want to go to their respective destinations to break their fast.

In addition, the morning peak hour operation will be added 30 minutes from 6.30 am to 9.30 am compared to the current time, which is from 7.00 am to 9.30 am. Meanwhile, the operation in the evening peak time is increased by one hour and thirty minutes starting from 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm. This is a significant change compared to the previous 5.00 pm to 7.30 pm.

Moreover, Prasarana will also open a Ramadan mini bazaar at three (3) selected LRT stations, namely Pasar Seni LRT Station, Damai LRT Station, and Ampang Park LRT Station. You can also grab your iftar food at existing bazaars such as Sri Rampai LRT Station, Taman Melati LRT Station and Gombak LRT Station. These bazaars will be open from 3.30 pm to 7.30 pm.
