Today, Acer Malaysia announced its 2025 lineup of gaming laptops with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series Laptop GPUs. We saw the flagship Predator Helios 18 AI and an all-new Predator Helios Neo 16S AI, but also a surprise new member of the Acer Aspire 7.
Kicking off the news, the Predator Helios 18 AI is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, 96GB DDR5 RAM and 4TB SSD storage, as well as supporting up to 192GB of DDR5 RAM with 4 memory slots and up to 6TB of NVMe SSD storage with 3 individual slots. A monster gaming laptop in its own right, it also sports an 18-inch WQXGA 2K Mini LED IPS display with a 250Hz refresh rate and 1,000 nits HDR Mode.
Next, the Predator Helios 18 AI (PHN16S-71) also has the same Intel Core Ultra processor but uses an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti laptop GPU. Equipped with 32 GB DDR5 RAM and 1TB Gen4 PCIe NVMe SSD, this laptop is also easily upgradable thanks to additional PCIe Gen 4 slots and memory slots. Moreover, it features a 16-inch WQXGA OLED IPS display with DCI-P3 100% colour gamut and a 240Hz refresh rate.
For those looking for a more affordable gaming laptop, the Aspire 7 is powered by an Intel Core i5-12450H processor, paired with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 GPU with 6GB GDDR6. It also features 16GB DDR4 RAM and a 512GB Gen4 PCIe NVMe SSD, with additional slots available for memory upgrades of up to 64GB and storage expansion. The IPS display measures 15.6 inches with a 144Hz refresh rate and FHD resolution.
