Last week, when vivo Malaysia revealed the new vivo V7 selfie snapper in Zouk KL, they also invited a special guest to give his testimony about the smartphone. Introducing the Chief Editor of Digital Camera Magazine, Arthur Chen, he showcased many of his phoneography works at the event and here's what he had to say about the smartphone.

“While vivo V7 equipped with a 16MP rear camera, it fits perfectly in a pocket and function just as a DLSR camera – in a smaller size that is capable of producing clear & vivid photo and output life-like image for printing.” says Arthur Chen.

It wasn't the first time that vivo has held an exhibition for showing photographs taken with their smartphones. In a continuing effort to enhance the user experience in mobile photography, the V7 series comes with a 16MP main camera and a humongous 24MP sensor for the front camera. According to Arthur, he really thinks that vivo smartphone excels in taking food pictures because of the good contrast and details, bringing "out" the flavour of the food thanks to the camera system.

Aside from that, he also likes the Ultra HD Photo features which the V7 series are able to shoot multiple frames quickly and combining them into one 64MP image. The smartphone's Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) is one of his favourites as well, allowing him to capture a good photo of a moving subject. Even though he knows that a 16MP camera smartphones are common nowadays, he remarked that vivo is different; especially its engineered PDAF technology and how remarkable it is that vivo had altered its technology close enough to a DSLR camera.

Anyway, check out the rest of his mobile photography works below.
