During the launch of the M2-powered iPad Pro back in October, Apple teased that popular video editing software DaVinci Resolve would be making its way to iPadOS. Now, creative professionals that are using their iPads as a content creation tool can look forward to having the software at their disposal as its developer, Blackmagic Design has finally released DaVinci Resolve for the iPad.

In a Twitter post, Blackmagic Design announced the DaVinci Resolve app can now be downloaded on iPads running iPadOS 16 and above. Furthermore, the app features the same colour correction and editing tools found on the desktop version of the software.

The app, which can be downloaded here is available for free, though there are in-app purchases, with the full version of the app costing USD94.99 or ~RM421. As for the UI design, Blackmagic Design has adapted it to suit the iPad’s touch screen while keeping the same overall design as the desktop version.

Basically, any iPad with iPadOS 16 can run DaVinci Resolve, though its developer does recommend using it with iPad models with an M1 chip or greater. Moreover, support for external display and ProRes within the app is also limited to M1-powered iPads or greater.
