During Proton's presentation on its latest e.MAS EV branding last night, things were going well until a mistake was spotted. In case you haven't seen it yet, the company somehow confused the locations between Sabah and Sarawak on the road map.

While announcing its plan to launch 30 outlets by 2025 with interested dealers across Malaysia, the map showed that Sabah and Sarawak have switched places on the land of Borneo. It has become sort of a joke online ever since but Proton quickly admitted the mistake and sent an apology statement this morning as seen in the screenshot below.

Speaking of the mishap, it was announced that as of May 2024, 17 dealers have already been appointed from more than 50 applications received. Two Proton EV Centre or EV Space (in a Brand Centre or Shopping Mall) are planned for Sabah and Sarawak, which offer sales and services, B&P, and act as a charging facility as well.
