Today, PRO-NET officially introduced the locally produced 2026 Proton e.MAS 7 in Malaysia. That's right, it is an updated e.MAS 7 for 2026, and what makes it different for this variant is being locally assembled while allowing the company to tailor specifications more closely to local driving conditions.
Focus on Local Adaptation and Customer Experience
PRO-NET Chief Executive Officer Zhang Qiang said the introduction of the locally produced 2026 model reflects the company’s commitment to making EV ownership more accessible. He noted that the latest updates are intended to deliver a safer and more convenient driving experience, while reinforcing PRO-NET’s long-term focus on innovation, sustainability and customer-centric solutions.
For 2026, the Proton e.MAS 7 Prime receives a powered tailgate as a standard addition. The feature allows the boot to be opened or closed using a button or key fob, making it easier to load and unload cargo, especially when hands are full. This upgrade adds a layer of everyday convenience that was previously absent from the entry variant.
Advanced Driver Assistance Added to the Premium Variant
The Premium variant sees more substantial changes with an upgraded Advanced Driver Assistance Systems package. New features include Evasive Manoeuvre Assist, which helps the driver steer around obstacles during emergency situations to reduce collision risk. Front Cross Traffic Alert has also been added to warn drivers of approaching vehicles at intersections, while Active Lane Change Assist supports safer lane changes by monitoring blind spots and assisting with steering when required.
Ownership Benefits and Power Pack Plus Incentives
To mark the launch of the 2026 Proton e.MAS 7, PRO-NET is offering a Welcome Benefit package valued at RM4000 for a limited time. This includes a complimentary 7kW home charger, a vehicle to load adaptor, five years of unlimited internet data and extended warranty coverage comprising six years of unlimited mileage vehicle warranty and eight years or 160000km coverage for the high voltage battery and related components.
Existing Proton owners are also eligible for a trade-in rebate worth RM5000 under the Power Exchange programme, further lowering the entry barrier for new EV buyers.
Updated Pricing for Peninsular and East Malaysia
Without the limited-time Welcome Benefit, the 2026 Proton e.MAS 7 Prime is priced at RM103800 in Peninsular Malaysia and RM106800 in East Malaysia. The Premium variant is priced at RM119800 and RM122800, respectively.
