As part of QNAP Malaysia’s continuous effort to provide the best user experience in achieving more data management and feature-rich applications, the company has revealed a new smart NAS operating system, called the QTS 4.3 which integrates a host of new features and improved apps.
Viable for home use or office work, the feature-packed upgrades offer smarter and smoother data management experiences with a centralized control for increased performance in business, and elevated entertainment at home.

The new NAS operating system provides not only a change in appearance, but also the latest applications such as Qcontactz, QmailAgent, Qfiling, QVPN, Hybrid Backup, and enhanced performance and features of an existing application. Made easy for businesses, the added applications and business features such as the intelligent Qtier 2.0 that boast automatic learning and customised scheduling, maximise efficiency and performance. It can analyse CPU performance and system peak hours, deciding the best time for processing auto-tiering and the optimum transfer speeds. This can be manually adjusted by the user too, as well as the Network & Virtual Switch which connects computers and devices to both local and remote networks.
The QTS 4.3 also redefines NAS as a total home multimedia centre for an immersive entertainment experience, for example, the Multi-zone control allows the user to stream media and control every device connected to the NAS.
