As per tradition, Qualcomm is going to announce a new chipset in November. The company just announced that it will host the Snapdragon Technology Summit in Hawaii from 15-17 November 2022, where we can very much anticipate the next Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 flagship mobile platform.

According to rumours, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset could be using TSMC's 4nm process. It consists of one large Cortex X3 core that can reach up to 3.36GHz, four primary cores (2x Cortex A715 and 2x Cortex A710), and three other secondary cores (Cortex A510) with a frequency of 2.02GHz. The GPU is an Adreno 740.

Additionally, it is said that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset scores are 1524 and 4597 points for single and multi-core respectively. Compared with the predecessor, the scores improved as expected. The Snapdragon 8 Gen+ chipset scored 1300 and 4300 points for the same areas.

Sources also say that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset would make its debut on the Xiaomi 13, Moto X40, and vivo X90 series. Until then, do stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
