Qualcomm announces Snapdragon Wear Elite Platform

This MWC 2026, Qualcomm have announced their new Snapdragon Wear Elite Platform designed to deliver Personal AI for wearables like watches, pins, pendants and more. Featuring an industry-first NPU-powered wearable platform, it should offer low-power on-device AI for these smaller devices.

The Snapdragon Wear Elite will have support from various partners including Google with WearOS, Linux and Samsung. It will integrate the Qualcomm Hexagon NPU for Personal AI experiences like natural voice interaction, life logging and context-aware recommendations. 

 

Longer lasting performance?

Offering a 5x improvement on single-core CPU performance and up to 7x faster GPU1, the platform says it will deliver 30% longer usage with 50% recharge in about 10 minutes. It will utilize low-power multi-mode connectivity using 5G RedCap, micro-Power Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 6.0, UWB,GNSS and NB-NTN.

Future devices featuring the Snapdragon Wear Elite platform includes Samsung Galaxy Watch and likely other smartwatch brands as well. What do you think?
