Previously, there were reports that Samsung was going to manufacture Qualcomm's chipsets but here's another new one. Qualcomm has chosen Samsung Electronics over Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) to manufacture 5G mobile application processors, namely the Snapdragon 750.

The Snapdragon 750 chipset will be in 8nm process which Samsung is capable of manufacturing. Alongside Samsung, TSMC which we just mentioned is also known to be the only tech companies to mass-produce these chipsets at competitive pricing than the ones with 10nm process. Anyway, this chipset will enable future mid-range smartphones to access 5G connectivity when it becomes mainstream and available.

On the other hand, it was only recently that Samsung made new business deals with Qualcomm to manufacture Snapdragon 875 chipsets in 5nm with extreme ultraviolet (EUV) process. The company also signed a deal with NVIDIA to manufacture the latest RTX 30 series processors.

Samsung seems to be on a roll manufacturing these new technologies, here's to hoping that their phones will use Snapdragon chipsets instead of Exynos (lol). Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
