After months of leaks and speculation, Qualcomm has officially confirmed that its next-generation chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, will be revealed on 26 November 2025 in China. This announcement was made via a Weibo post from Qualcomm.

Where It Sits in the Line-up

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 is expected to slot just below Qualcomm’s premium tier, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Built on a 3 nm process and powered by custom Oryon CPU cores, early information reveals a top “prime” core clock speed of 3.8 GHz and additional performance cores clocked at 3.32 GHz.
