Qualcomm releases its new entry level SoC, the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3

Qualcomm has quietly unveiled a new entry-level mid-range SoC, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3. Essentially an overclocked Snapdragon 695 and Snapdragon 4 Gen 1, read on to learn more. 

In a press release, Qualcomm revealed that the new SoC is available in a 4G or 5G variant, with the model numbers being SM-6370 and SM6375-AC respectively. For reference, the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1, which itself is a rehashed Snapdragon 695, has the model number SM4375, hence you can see the close relationship between the 3. 

A 6nm SoC, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 as two CPU clusters: one with two Cortex A78 cores, clocked at up to 2.3 GHz and another one with six Cortex-A55 ones, working at up to 2.0 GHz. Furthermore, the chipset is paired with the Adreno 619 GPU and a FastConnect 6200 modem. 

The SoC supports LDPPR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. Imaging-wise, it can support up to 1080p@60fps with video capture.
