Mid-range chipsets are becoming more trendy now thanks to the market demands. In Qualcomm's latest development, the company have just announced a brand new Snapdragon 778G 5G Mobile Platform. Here's everything you need to know about the mid-range chipset.

For starters, Qualcomm described the Snapdragon 778G 5G chipset as a "triple threat" for mobile gaming, AI acceleration and video capture. A Snapdragon X53 5G Modem-RF System is part of the new chipset that enables mmWave and Sub-6 bands, allowing WiFi 6 and WiFi 6E via Qualcomm's FastConnect 6700 Mobile Connectivity System. To give you a figure, WiFi 6 can achieve up to 2.9 Gbps.

In terms of Accelerated AI, Qualcomm is using a 6th Gen AI Engine that offers performance twice as much. Fusing with a Hexagon 770 processor, it allows faster data transfer between all AI accelerators in terms of mobile gaming, audio, photography and more. There's also a Sensing Hub boost for AI-based audio processing.
