Qualcomm’s next-gen smartphone chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 SoC, will reportedly launch earlier compared to its predecessor’s release time frame. This is according to reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, who took to Weibo to reveal the info.
In previous years, Qualcomm launched its flagship smartphone chipsets in October, including the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC powering most Android flagships. For the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, however, Digital Chat Station claimed that the chipset will be launched in late September.
This means that Snapdragon 8 Elite 2-powered smartphones will already be released in October. Well, at least in China as smartphone manufacturers in the country normally launch their flagships for the local market first.
Of course, do take this with a grain of salt, as nothing is confirmed yet. Until then, stay tuned to TechNave for more trending tech news.
