In case you missed it, the REDMAGIC 9S Pro was launched last night in Malaysia. To celebrate this, REDMAGIC will offer a first sale promotion from 25 July until 8 August with RM500 off and a free REDMAGIC VC Cooler 5 Pro worth RM249 (while stocks last).
According to REDMAGIC, the REDMAGIC 9S Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset (leading version) which is a first for the Malaysian market. It is said that the CPU can be turbocharged to 3.4GHz, while power consumption has been reduced by 34% for the CPU and 38% for the GPU, making it a remarkably energy-efficient option for all-day use.
As a gaming phone, the REDMAGIC 9S Pro is also equipped with a huger 6,500mAh battery and supports 80W fast charging technology. To keep it cool while gaming for long periods, the company integrated an enhanced ICE 13.5 cooling system to dissipate heat. The system includes a new frost cooling gel and a 10-layer materials setup, resulting in a 19.5°C drop in CPU core temperature and increased cooling efficiency by 20%.
The display is huge as well, measuring 6.8 inches with FHD+ resolution and utilising BOE Q9+ luminescent technology. To protect our eyesight in the long run, the screen features 2160Hz PWM+DC dimming and there is a 5th Gen under-display camera too. Meanwhile, the dual rear cameras have a 50MP OIS primary + 50MP ultrawide sensors.
Other notable features include customisable RGB gaming lights with 16.8 million colour options, Gravity X for playing mobile games with controllers, a PC host mode, or connecting to a gaming keyboard and mouse, 520Hz frequency shoulder triggers as well as Z SmartCast for wireless projection with up to 120FPS.
