REDtone Digital signs deal with SpaceX to offer Starllnk satellite services across Malaysia

SpaceX has signed an authorised reseller agreement with REDtone Digital Sdn Bhd which allows the latter to offer Starlink satellite internet services across Malaysia. In case you’re not familiar, REDtone is an integrated telco and digital infrastructure services provider company. 

As reported by Bernama, REDtone has more than 150 dedicated engineers nationwide and can quickly deploy Starlink broadband services to users in remote locations and areas with geographical and environmental constraints. Its CEO, Lau Bik Soon said that the company’s strength as a network integrator will enable it to offer seamless satellite-based services to government and enterprise customers.

The company is also targeting sectors which are showing an increasing reliance on satellite services such as oil and gas, telecommunications, shipping and maritime and others. REDtone further estimated that the satellite market will be worth RM19.7 billion by 2025.
