Previously, we reported some tech specs leak about the ROG Ally X. However, this latest one by VideoCardz.com is probably the best one as it's regarding the battery life.

According to the source, the ROG Ally X is claimed to have an 80Wh battery which is twice as much as the original at 40Wh. Figuratively speaking, @mysterylupin said the new battery can live up to 8 hours but in terms of practical usage, that remains to be seen. As many of you should know by now, the ROG Ally has a not-so-impressive battery life, playing up to 2 hours of gameplay only and even less than that if a AAA game is played.

Furthermore, the source also seemingly confirmed that the ROG Ally X will have 24GB of RAM. If true, that may help the ROG Ally X to handle graphics-intensive games better. In theory, that could allow the gaming device to last over 4 hours but we shall see. It's said to be thicker as well to house the new 80Wh battery.

So far, the ROG Ally X will indeed retain the Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor and the 7-inch 120Hz display. Besides the RAM, it will also have a new 1TB of storage. The leaked spec sheet also revealed a USB Type C 4.0 version and we hope that ASUS has fixed the microSD card detection issue that is yet to be solved on the current ROG Ally.

The ROG Ally X will be fully revealed on 2 June 2024 just before Computex 2024 in Taiwan. It won't be that long so until then, stay tuned for our news coverage at TechNave.com.
