After a few long weeks, we finally have the confirmation launch of the ROG Phone 9 FE. Just a few hours ago, ASUS ROG Malaysia posted the launch date, which is on 19 March 2025. So what can you expect?
The ROG Phone 9 FE has already launched in Thailand, so we know the tech specs. The FE variant features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, alongside a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with up to a 185Hz refresh rate (Game Genie mode) and 2,500nits peak brightness. The chipset is a year old but still powerful, nonetheless.
In addition, the ROG Phone 9 FE also sports a 50MP (main, OIS) + 13MP (ultrawide)+ 5MP (macro) triple rear camera setup, whereas the front is 32MP. It also has a 5,500mAh battery pack with 65W wired charging and 15W Qi 1.3 wireless charging.
Lastly, the ROG Phone 9 FE did not sacrifice the AniMe Vision feature and even an IP68 water and dust resistance rating. In addition, it also features a GameCool 8 cooling system to dissipate the heat out of the SoC and the trademark AirTrigger shoulders, just like the standard ROG Phone 9.
In Thailand, the ROG Phone 9 FE costs THB 29,99,0, which is approximately ~RM3,9K. ASUS ROG Malaysia will announce the official local price on the aforementioned date. So until then, stay tuned for our official news coverage only at TechNave.com.
