Just before Chinese New Year, the ROG Phone 9 FE got through SIRIM certification, something we can expect to come to Malaysia soon. Meanwhile, it seems that the phone has already been launched in Thailand, and all the tech specs have been revealed.
According to the official ASUS Thailand website, some of the tech specs speculated online turn out to be true such as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Besides that, the ROG Phone 9 FE also comes with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, alongside a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with up to a 185Hz refresh rate (Game Genie mode) and 2,500nits peak brightness.
As an FE model, we are surprised to find out that the ROG Phone 9 FE still comes with an AniMe Vision feature and even an IP68 water and dust resistance rating. In addition, it also features a GameCool 8 cooling system to dissipate the heat out of the SoC and the trademark AirTrigger shoulders just like the standard ROG Phone 9.
At the camera corner, the ROG Phone 9 FE sports a 50MP (main, OIS) + 13MP (ultrawide)+ 5MP (macro) triple rear camera setup, whereas the front is 32MP. It also has a 5,500mAh battery pack with 65W wired charging and 15W Qi 1.3 wireless charging.
The ROG Phone 9 FE costs THB 29,990 which is approximately ~RM3,9K, quite expensive for an FE model if you ask us. ASUS Malaysia has yet to announce anything so until then, stay tuned for the official news only at TechNave.com.
