It didn't take long for a couple of Android brands have announce their upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite smartphones. ASUS ROG has also jumped on the bandwagon revealing the launch date for the ROG Phone 9 series. The debut is set on 19 November 2024.
Not only that, we also got the official image render of the ROG Phone 9 series. Just like the predecessor, the new model looks more or less the same with a hybrid mainstream gaming design. The camera module is also still the same but it has some LED lighting near the bottom of the phone, while the ROG logo remains in the middle.
To recap, the Snapdragon 8 Elite features a second-generation Qualcomm Oryon CPU and an enhanced Adreno GPU. On paper, this should make the ROG Phone 9 series one of the most powerful gaming phones in speed, power and graphics. We are also expecting many returning features such as AirTriggers, a 6000mAh battery and more.
In conjunction with the launch, ROG will preview the ROG Phone 9 series, offering live demos and an exclusive hands-on experience with engineering devices for the first time. Attendees will get a firsthand look at the phone’s gaming capabilities and features ahead of its official release.
The livestream event will be at 7 PM, on 19 November 2024 in Malaysia, mirroring Taipei's time zone. For Berlin and New York, the time scheduled is 12 PM and 6 AM, respectively. Stay tuned for the official news launch at TechNave.com.
