Today, ASUS Republic of Gamers kicked off Computex 2021 with two brand new gaming laptops - the ROG Strix G15 and ROG Strix G17 Advantage Edition. Do they have crazy power tech specs? Yes, but with a twist. These two gaming laptops are also the world’s first with new AMD Radeon RX 6800M GPUs, paired with AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX CPUs.

Built on an AMD RDNA 2 architecture that combines ray tracing, computational, and traditional effects for a surreal vision, the Radeon RX 6800M has ample power for graphics-intensive video games that demands the highest settings to be enjoyed. On the other hand, the Ryzen 9 5900HX CPU is manufactured with 7nm technology featuring 8 cores and 16 threads heavy multitasking and multithreaded workloads. Advanced cooling helps the CPU run on up to 90 watts of sustained power on its own, which can be pushed further with the ROG Armoury Crate utility.

It doesn't stop there, AMD also included SmartShift and Smart Access Memory technologies. This allows the CPU and GPU to work together and boost the performance by up to 15%. Smart Access Memory also removes the restriction of the CPU accessing the graphics memory, so that the ROG Strix G15 and G17 Advantage Edition laptops can harness the full potential of PCI Express. Also, the laptops have up to 32GB of DDR4-3200 RAM and up to 1TB of NVMe SSD storage with an additional M.2 slot.

On top of that, ASUS also installed a ROG Intelligent Cooling system that allows peak performance while lowering the fan noise levels. According to the company, it can help improve heat transfer and lower temperatures by as much as 14°C. The thermal efficiency is further improved by a vapour chamber that covers the CPU, GPU, VRAM, and voltage regulation circuitry. There's even a CoolZone design for the keyboard to reduce surface temperatures.

The ROG Strix G Advantage Edition laptops are framed by super-narrow bezels, both available in 15-inch and 17-inch sizes. Of course, a high refresh rate is available up to 300Hz with a 3ms response time or gamers can also set for WQHD resolution + 165Hz refresh rate and 3ms response time. A pair of Smart Amp speakers are located below the keyboard, tuned with Dolby Atmos technology and a 5.1.2-channel surround sound.

Sounds amazing so far, right? But unfortunately, the ROG Strix G15 and G17 Advantage Edition gaming laptops will not be available for the Malaysian market as of now. Perhaps at a later date? We can only wait and see until ASUS ROG Malaysia announces it. Until then, stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
