While the ROG Phone was announced, ASUS Republic of Gamers also unveiled two brand new laptops which are the ROG Strix SCAR II and Hero II Edition as gaming laptops built exclusively for eSports games. New features for the Strix SCAR II include a new keyboard layout with Kevlar-inspired markings and a front light bar with customizable Aura Sync lighting, while the Strix Hero II has upgraded its design with a super-narrow bezel for the IPS-level display of 100% sRGB colour gamut as well as a desktop-grade keyboard.

But what's the difference between the two laptops? Well, just like last year - the Strix SCAR II is specially designed for FPS games and the latter is more suitable for MOBA games. Strix SCAR II has a highlighted WASD key group and a Kevlar-like finish for palm rest, which makes the laptop design part look like it was made from an assault rifle. Then for the Strix Hero II, the QWER key group are highlighted with a metallic Mystic Black finish with rear vents in Burning Red.

The Strix SCAR II edition, the overall design is quite similar to the Strix Hero II edition except for the QWER keys and the back cover

The keyboard layout with the anodized Gunmetal Gray finish, looks pretty rad

Meanwhile, the ROG Zephyrus M was also properly introduced this time (since it already appeared in the Malaysia market) and picks up where its predecessor left off. It’s powered by up to an 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 graphics and features an IPS-level display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 3ms response time, and NVIDIA G-SYNC technology. In addition, there's also an Active Aerodynamic System (AAS) to ensure it runs cool and quiet even at high processor loads. To find out more, you can go over to their official webpage here to check it out.

Unfortunately, no price and availability were shown but we think it might arrive to Malaysia in August or September 2018. Stay tuned for more ROG news at TechNave.com.
