Finally, after four months, ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) Malaysia has officially opened pre-orders for its brand-new ROG Xbox Ally series gaming handhelds. The lineup includes the ROG Xbox Ally and the more powerful ROG Xbox Ally X, developed in collaboration with Xbox to merge the best of PC and console gaming into a single device.
Pre-Orders and Availability
The company also confirmed the local prices, with the ROG Xbox Ally being priced at RM2699, while the more advanced ROG Xbox Ally X comes in at RM4299. Exclusive pre-orders begin tonight (3 October 2025) at 8:15 PM via the ASUS e-Store. Wider pre-orders will be open from 6–15 October 2025 through authorised ASUS resellers, with both models hitting store shelves from 17 October 2025.
Early adopters will receive a pre-order bundle worth RM999, which includes the ROG SLASH Sling Bag 4.0, a ROG Xbox Ally series screen protector, a 512GB microSD card, and a 2-year Perfect Warranty with accidental damage protection. Customers will also enjoy a 20% promotional discount for the ROG Bulwark Dock DG300 and ROG 65W Gaming Charger Dock when bundled with pre-orders.
Recapping the Hardware Upgrades
The ROG Xbox Ally is powered by the AMD Ryzen Z2 A Processor, delivering up to 20% more performance in games, while also offering over double the battery life in certain scenarios. On the other hand, the ROG Xbox Ally X raises the bar further with the AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme Processor and an onboard NPU for future AI-enhanced gaming, providing up to 30% better performance.
Both models support AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR), Radeon Super Resolution (RSR), and AMD Fluid Motion Frames (AFMF), ensuring smoother gameplay and higher frame rates across a wide range of titles.
