ROG Zephyrus G14 and G16 Malaysia release - Up to RTX 5090 with Intel Core and AMD Ryzen processors, starting price at RM13,999

ASUS ROG Malaysia has officially announced the arrival of the 2026 ROG Zephyrus G14 and ROG Zephyrus G16 in Malaysia, bringing NVIDIA’s latest RTX 50-series graphics, brighter OLED displays, and upgraded AI-ready processors into its premium ultraportable gaming lineup. Here's everything you need to know about the new ROG gaming laptops.

The Zephyrus G14 and G16 Tech Specs

The new Zephyrus G14 and G16 are powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra 9 386H processors, with selected models also offering the AMD Ryzen AI 9 465 processor. ASUS says the new chips deliver up to 50 TOPS of NPU performance, allowing the laptops to fully qualify as Copilot+ PCs capable of handling local AI workloads.

Graphics performance receives a major boost as well, with the Zephyrus G14 supporting up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop graphics, while the larger Zephyrus G16 scales all the way up to RTX 5090 Laptop GPUs based on NVIDIA’s latest Blackwell architecture. The laptops also support DLSS 4 and Frame Generation technologies designed to improve gaming performance and visual smoothness in modern AAA titles.

The Zephyrus G14 features a 3K 120Hz OLED panel, while the G16 offers a larger 2.5K 240Hz OLED display. Both support NVIDIA G-SYNC, 100% DCI-P3 colour coverage, VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification, and ultra-fast 0.2ms response times. One of the biggest highlights of the new Zephyrus lineup is the upgraded ROG Nebula HDR OLED display technology, now capable of reaching up to 1100 nits peak brightness. Also, they have Delta E below 1 colour-accurate displays, alongside scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass protection with reduced reflections.

Other Features

To support next-generation hardware, the Zephyrus G14 features up to a quad-heatpipe cooling system, while the larger Zephyrus G16 adopts a vapour chamber design for improved heat dissipation. Both laptops also retain ASUS ROG’s Tri-Fan cooling technology alongside redesigned airflow and ventilation systems intended to keep temperatures lower during gaming, rendering, and AI-heavy tasks without generating excessive noise.

On the other hand, the Zephyrus G14 starts from approximately 1.5kg, while the larger G16 begins at around 1.85kg, making both machines significantly lighter than many traditional gaming laptops despite carrying high-end RTX 50-series hardware. The laptops retain their CNC-milled aluminium chassis available in Platinum White and Eclipse Grey finishes, while the upgraded Slash Lighting system on the lid now expands from seven lighting zones to 35 zones for more advanced customisation effects.

Beyond gaming, the laptops include Thunderbolt 4-capable USB-C ports, HDMI 2.1, SD or microSD card readers, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and six-speaker audio systems. The addition of AI-focused NPUs also reflects broader industry trends where gaming laptops are evolving into multi-purpose AI-ready portable workstations rather than purely gaming-centric machines.

Malaysia Availability and Early-Bird Offers

The 2026 ROG Zephyrus G14 and G16 will officially launch in Malaysia starting 24 May 2026. But before the nationwide release, ASUS will offer both laptops exclusively through the ASUS e‑Store beginning 17 May 2026 alongside early-bird bundles worth up to RM1,437 while stocks last.
