Based on a tweet by Twitter user @orangesalji83, it seems that a MyDebit card reader has been spotted at Rapid KL Wangsa Maju, hinting that it could be possible to pay using debit cards in the future. While there’s no official information on when we can officially pay using a debit card, Lowyat did mention that only MyDebit cards are accepted by the card reader.
But that’s not all, there could be a possibility that customers will be able to pay via their smartphone but there’s no confirmation on that for now. Rapid KL mentioned that they will make an official announcement as soon as customers will be able to pay using their MyDebit card.
