For the average user, more is not always better, at least not when it comes to booking apps. Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd clearly agrees with this sentiment, as it has announced a plan to streamline its booking applications.
Combining three into one
According to Bernama, Rapid Bus plans to combine the Mobi, Trek Rides, and Kummute booking apps into a single Rapid On-Demand app. For those unaware, Rapid On-Demand allows Malaysians to book a van from Rapid Bus like the three existing booking apps. Ku Jamil Zakaria, acting CEO of Rapid Bus, said the new app will provide an enhanced user experience but didn't elaborate on specifics.
Zone expansion confirmed
Additionally, Rapid Bus will be expanding its service to cover more zones. The Rapid Bus acting CEO confirmed that the expansion will include 50 vans and stations from the following zones: Metro Prima to Taman Botani Kepong (FRIM), Serdang Raya Selatan to Taman Bukit Serdang, Semantan to Menara DBKL, and Semantan to KTM Segambut.
Rapid On-Demand will be available for Android and iOS users via the respective app stores starting 1 November 2025. Make sure to download it by then for a seamless transition.
