Don't get it confused for the gaming smartphone, this pair of gaming headphones is by Razer. Called as the Razer BlackShark V2 series, the gaming headphones are now available in Malaysia at a price of RM599 (and RM349 for the lesser version, more on that later) and while it may seem quite expensive, there are some good reasons for it.

According to Razer, the BlackShark V2 comes with a wide range of features such as the TriForce Titanium 50mm Drivers, HyperClear cardioid mic, and an advanced passive (yes, passive) noise cancellation to provide the best audio gaming experience for gamers. Also, in case you're wondering what does passive noise cancellation means, it means the headphones is purely relying on the external earcup to block out the environment sounds and this save costs compared with active noise cancellation.

Besides that, you can find the THX Spatial technology (channel 5.1 or 7.1.) there as well. It's a feature that offers a surround sound for the gamer to get immersive in any game as well as identifying the enemy's position in first-person shooter games. On the other hand, the HyperClear Cardioid microphone can be connected with a USB Sound Card to record clearer audio and this also includes settings for mic boost, mic equalizer, ambient noise reduction and more.

Like most gaming peripherals, you can also set your gaming profile with the THX Game Profile technology which is scheduled for 6 August 2020. Razer mentioned that the audio profile program will include the 18 most popular video games such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Valorant, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and more. By the way, there's also a Razer BlackShark V2 X for RM349. The difference between this and the other is that it uses a non-titanium TriForce 50mm Driver and relies on a 3.5mm jack instead of a USB sound card.
