When Razer launched its Viper series gaming mice last year, it was the first bunch that came with optical switches. But Razer is always keen to diversify its portfolio of gaming peripherals. Yesterday, the company announced the Viper Mini, a smaller and lighter model that still comes with the highly precise optical switches.

Weighing a mere 61g and visibly smaller, the Viper Mini uses an optical sensor for 8500 DPI, making it a high precision mouse that's great for first-person shooters. Even its Speedflex Cable and mouse feet are designed to help with that, reducing the amount of drag on most surfaces so you can move the mouse faster and with more ease. The use of optical switches also means the mouse will be more robust, thanks to the switches rated at being able to last 50 million clicks.

In addition, you get the standard set of Razer features. Aside from Razer Chroma RGB for the colourful lighting, the Viper Mini has six programmable buttons, a DPI switch, and on-board memory profile in case you have to use the mouse on other PCs. Of course, the best thing here is that it's relatively affordable for a gaming mouse, commanding a price of just RM199.

If you have smaller hands or like having a super lightweight mouse, the Viper Mini could be the right fit for you. Do you have a different type of mouse you'd rather use? Let us know on our Facebook page and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more news like this.
