The highly-anticipated Red Magic 8 Pro series had just arrived in the Chinese market. It brings two devices, namely Red Magic 8 Pro and 8 Pro+. As gaming flagships, the two definitely have to be equipped with top-notch tech specs to survive in the market. Now, let's check out what they have to offer!
Both Red Magic 8 Pro devices feature a 6.8-inch OLED display that supports 2480 x 1116 pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, they pack the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 1TB internal storage.
Gaming-wise, the series claimed to sport the largest volume of VC cooling ever in the company's history, with a 2068mm³ total size. The dedicated cooling fan is also RGB-enabled to enhance the devices' gaming aesthetic. They feature the industry's fastest 520Hz game shoulder keys and still offer 3.5mm headphone jacks as well.
The Red Magic Pro series brings a triple camera setup on the rear, consisting of a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. Meanwhile, the front houses a 16MP selfie shooter under the display. Other features include ultra-linear dual stereo speakers that support Snapdragon sound, 96kHz lossless audio, and 48ms low latency, Red Magic OS 6.0 custom skin based on Android 13 and more.
Talking about the differences, the Red Magic 8 Pro gets a 6,000mAh battery pack that supports 80W fast charging. The company claims it can offer a long 47 hours of battery life. However, the Pro+ variant features a smaller 5,000mAh battery pack. Despite that, its fast charging power gets raised to 165W, which eventually makes it the more powerful model.
The Red Magic 8 Pro series will go on sale in China on 28 December 2022 with the prices listed below:
