When the RedMagic 11 Pro was launched last year, we got our first glimpse of a smartphone with an actual liquid cooling system. Unlike standard vapour chambers, RedMagic's AquaCore liquid cooling system has flowing liquid to cool the device's chips. Now, the company's next gaming tablet will also feature this system.
RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro
According to Digital Chat Station, the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro is expected to feature a liquid cooling system. It's also expected to sport a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, up to 24GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of internal storage. Additionally, this flagship gaming tablet will come with a 9-inch OLED display with a 2400x1504 resolution and a 185Hz refresh rate. Lastly, the Gaming Tablet 5 Pro will have an 8300mAh battery, which is sizable for a 9-inch tablet.
Besides the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro, DCS also claimed that a liquid-cooled RedMagic 11S Pro+ is on the way. The specs and features for the new smartphone weren't mentioned. However, this phone is either a sidegrade of the RedMagic 11 Pro with design changes, or a direct upgrade with an optimised or improved liquid cooling system. If it's the latter, then the new model could offer better value.
Predicted launch window: July 2026
The RedMagic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro was rebranded as the RedMagic Astra Gaming Tablet, which launched here in July 2025. If RedMagic follows the same launch window, the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro (or RedMagic Astra Gaming Tablet 2) could launch in the same month or earlier. For reference, the Astra Gaming Tablet was released in Malaysia for RM3399, so this year's model could be priced around RM3599 or more.
