Recently, we have just seen the launch of Redmi 12 4G in Malaysia. If everything goes well, we might see the 5G version soon. Plus, rumour suggests the 5G variant could be a rebrand of China’s Redmi Note 12R.
According to a leak from Abishek Yadav, the Redmi 12 5G could come in 2 configurations. The first option could feature 4 GB RAM with 128 GB storage. While the second could feature 6 GB RAM with 128 GB storage. Below are possibly the images for Redmi 12 5G “Moonlight Silver” edition:

Like the 4G variant, the Redmi 5G could include a 6.79-inch IPS LCD, 90Hz refresh rate panel screen. It could also run MIUI 14 (Android 13) with a 5000mAh battery and supports 18W charging. Similarly, the device houses a 50-megapixel with a 2-megapixel dual camera system and a 5-megapixel front camera.
The main difference between the 4G and 5G variants could lie in chipsets. The 4G variant features a Mediatek Helio G88, while the 5G variant could feature Snapdragon 4 Gen 2. Other than that, the differences are insignificant.
