Xiaomi Malaysia today announced that it is cutting the price of the Redmi 12C in Malaysia by RM100, making the entry-level device even more affordable. The smartphone received the price cut less than two months after its release in our country.
In a Facebook post, Xiaomi Malaysia said that the price slash was to reward its fans for their continued support over the years. Moreover, it is also part of its dream of making quality technology accessible to everyone.

The price cut means that the 4/128GB variant is now priced at RM499 while the 6/128GB configuration is RM599. There’s also a special promo where you’ll get the Mi In-Ear Headphones Basic (RRP RM39) for free when you purchase the device now.
As a recap, the 12C features a 6.71-inch IPS LCD display with an HD+ resolution and a standard 60Hz refresh rate. The panel also has a water drop-style notch that houses its 5MP selfie camera.

At its rear, there’s a 50MP main camera paired with a depth sensor and an LED flash. Under the hood, the 12C is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 SoC paired with either 4 or 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
Besides that, the smartphone packs a 5000mAh battery with support for 10W charging via the micro-USB port (adapter included inside the box). Other notable specs include a rear fingerprint sensor, up to 1TB of expandable storage with the microSD card slot, a 3.5mm audio jack, dual SIM, Bluetooth 5.1 and colour options of Graphite Grey, Ocean Blue, Mint Green and Lavender Purple. Those keen on purchasing the new Redmi 12C are encouraged to visit the nearest Authorized Xiaomi Stores near them, as well as other official retailers in Malaysia, or shop online at the official Xiaomi stores on Lazada and Shopee.
