Redmi 14C 5G release - Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, 5160mAh battery and 50MP main camera from ~RM526

As we’ve reported previously, Redmi today launched the 5G version of the Redmi 14C in India, aptly named the Redmi 14C 5G. Featuring some compelling specs at an affordable price, read on to learn more about the entry-level 5G device. 

Taking to its official Indian website, the Xiaomi subsidiary revealed that the 14C 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC paired with 4/6GB RAM and an expandable 64/128GB storage. Under the hood, there’s also a 5160mAh battery with support for 18W charging via the USB-C port, but interestingly, a 33W fast charger is included in the box.

Screen-wise, it’s a 6.88-inch 120Hz Dot Drop display with an HD+ resolution, 600 nits peak brightness and a water-drop notch housing the 8MP selfie shooter. At the rear, the main camera is a 50MP shooter paired with a secondary sensor. 

Other notable specs include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual SIM, a 3.5mm audio jack, Android 14 via HyperOS, an IP52 rating and colour options of either Stargaze Black, Starlight Blue or Stardust Purple. In India, the 14C 5G starts at INR9999 or ~RM526, with global availability yet to be announced.
