Xiaomi has recently released the Redmi A1 in Malaysia, its most affordable smartphone in 2022 which is priced at just RM359. An entry-level smartphone with a colourful design, the Redmi A1 features a 6.52-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels.
Under the hood, it is powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 paired with 2GB of RAM and a 5000mAh battery which support 10W charging. There’s only a 32GB storage variant though the device does support expandable storage of up to 1TB through its microSD card slot.
In terms of cameras, the Redmi A1 sports an 8MP camera with an auxiliary lens to enable portrait shots at its rear and a 5MP selfie camera at the front. The smartphone comes in Black, Light Green and Light Blue colour options, all with a flat-frame design accentuated by a minimalistic curved back. There’s also a leather-like texture which is resistant towards fingerprint smudges and marks.
As mentioned earlier, the Redmi A1 is priced at just RM359 and comes in a singular 2/32GB variant. You can purchase the device through Xiaomi’s official sales channels on Shopee, Lazada, as well as at its official retail stores.
