The Redmi A5 was first launched in Indonesia back in late March, and it has arrived in the Malaysian market. Starting today, the phone is available in two storage variants: 3GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB, which are priced at RM299 and RM349, respectively.
To recap the tech specs, the Redmi A5 is an entry-level device, powered by an octa-core UNISOC T7250 chipset and has RAM expansion of up to 8GB. Despite that, it has other respectable features, such as the big 5,200mAh battery pack and a 120Hz 6.88-inch display. The display is also TÜV Rheinland-certified.
The Redmi A5 also has a 32MP AI dual camera on the back. Xiaomi said the main camera now has a larger sensor that takes in 18% more light than the predecessor, while the front camera is just 8MP. In addition, the phone also has a side fingerprint sensor and face unlock, as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Available in Midnight Black, Sandy Gold, and Ocean Blue, interested customers can now check out the Redmi A5 at their nearest Xiaomi physical and third-party stores, as well as its official online stores on Shopee and Lazada. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
