While they're dirt cheap, nobody wants to deal with wires any more than they have to. This is why true wireless stereo (TWS) earphones have become staples these days. And if you're looking to get one, the new Redmi Buds 3 could be an option for you.
Now unveiled on the Xiaomi Youpin website, the Redmi Buds 3 doesn't look anything like the Redmi Buds 3 Pro launched in July. In fact, its semi in-ear design makes it more like the Apple AirPods. Redmi's new TWS model comes in white colour only but is affordable at just 199 yuan (~RM128). It's also purchasable at a discounted price of 159 yuan (~RM102) if pre-ordered before 15 September 2021.
The Redmi Buds 3 comes with a 12mm diaphragm coil for its audio drivers, promising greater sound quality and rich bass. It also has two built-in high-sensitivity mics that help reduce environmental noise, Qualcomm aptX for low audio latency, and IP54 water/dust resistance. The earphones can deliver up to 5 hours of music playback, but add in the charging case and you'll get up to 20 hours of playback.
