Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition is the first phone to have Qualcomm's new SD768G chipset

Two days ago, the specifications of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G chipset were leaked, and the Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition is expected to be the first phone powered by it. Today, the good news has come announcing the official launch of the chipset and the arrival of the Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition. Let's take a look at how much performance increase will the device get compared to the previous Redmi K30 5G!

Overall, the Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition has the same design and similar tech specs with the vanilla Redmi K30 5G. The main difference would be the Racing Edition will have an upgraded chipset which boosts the CPU clock speed from 2.4GHz (Redmi K30 5G) to 2.8GHz. Other than that, the Snapdragon 768G also increase the performance of the Adreno 620 GPU by about 15%. The chipset is integrated with a 5G modem as well, making the device compatible with dual-mode SA/NSA 5G.

The Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition sports a 6.67-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also comes with a quad-camera setup at the back ( 64MP Main + 8MP ultrawide + 5 macro + 2MP depth) and a 20MP front-facing camera. The device features a 4500mAh battery as well that supports 30W fast charging, but sadly doesn't support wireless charging. Finally, the Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition is being sold at the price of 1999 Yuan (~RM1222) and it's only available in China at the moment.
