The Dimensity 1000+ is currently the most powerful chipset that MediaTek can offer. Earlier, the iQOO Z1 has become the first device to utilize the chipset, and we're anticipating more devices to be launched equipping the powerhouse after that. Now, it is rumoured that a new Redmi phone with the chipset will be launched soon and it could be the Redmi K40.

The source is claiming that a new high-end Redmi device with a single-hole LCD screen will be launched equipping the Dimensity 1000+ chipset. Other than that, it is also suggested that the device will feature a 144Hz refresh rate screen and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Not long ago, we have heard the news that an upcoming Xiaomi device would be featuring the chipset as well, so it is unclear that which of them will be arriving first.

To recap, the Dimensity 1000+ chipset is built on a 7nm process. It uses the ARM flagship Cortex A77 + Mali-G77 architecture design. Furthermore, the chipset has eight cores at a CPU frequency of up to 2.6GHz as well. Those are the reasons why the chipset has scored over 530,000 in the AnTuTu benchmark test.
