Redmi K40 series live photos leaked with quad-camera setup on the rear with new camera housing design

The Redmi K series has always been a successful series for Xiaomi starting from the Redmi K20, Redmi K20 Pro, and Redmi K20 Pro Premium while the Redmi K30 has 8 different models in total. About a month ago, we reported the Redmi K40 series passed through EEC certifications, today, we found a set of live photos on the standard model.

According to images spotted on Weibo, it was reposted on Twitter by the Indian leaker, Sudhanshu Ambhore. The Redmi K40 will have a centered punch-hole selfie camera while having four camera lens on the rear with a new rectangular curved corner shape. Inside the housing, the arrangement of the lens has a large sensor on top and two small ones below it, and another large one at the bottom. 

Besides, there will be a 3.5mm audio jack at the bottom along with the USB-C port on the left and a speaker grill on the right. As for the chipset, it is either a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset or a Snapdragon processor with fast charging technology that may be featuring a 5000mAh battery. The phone is also reported to run on Android 11 out of the box.

Either way, there is still no official confirmation on the tech spec and release dates on the Redmi K40 series yet, so do take this with a pinch of salt. But it is expected to be announced sometime this month so do stay tuned for more tech news updates on TechNave.com
