Redmi K50 Ultra release: SD 8+ Gen 1 chip, 120W fast charge, and 108MP camera, starts from ~RM1,976

The wave of new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1-powered devices has finally started. Today, Xiaomi has launched another offering for the market, and it's the Redmi K50 Ultra. Besides the chip, the flagship device also serves other attractive tech specs and features. Continue reading to find out more!

The Redmi K50 Ultra sports a 6.67-inch 2712 x 1220 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also supports a 480Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+ content and Dolby Vision. Under the hood, it has a VC heat dissipation area of 3,725mm² and a total 12-layer heat dissipation area of 30,000m². There's also a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging.

Furthermore, the rear camera department houses three modules, a 108MP primary camera using Samsung's ISOCELL HM6 sensor, an 8MP ultrawide camera (f/2.2 aperture), and a 2MP macro unit (f/2.4 aperture). Meanwhile, the front has a 20MP camera for selfies and video calls. Other features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, 5G connectivity, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6E 802.11 ax, MIUI 13 based on Android 12 and more.

The Redmi K50 Ultra will be available in Black, Silver, and Blue. Its price starts from CNY2,999 (~RM1,976) for the 8/128GB variant, up to 12/512GB trim for CNY3,999 (~RM2,636). There are also other special editions, including Genshin Impact and Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team Summer Edition.
