Since July 2021, the Redmi K50 series has been in rumours. It's taken Xiaomi a long time to work on it, but the new flagship series is finally launching sometime this month. The exact launch date hasn't been revealed, but the prices have been leaked in advance.

Recently, the prices for the Redmi K50 series were leaked by @Shadow_leak. The standard Redmi K50 would use the older Snapdragon 870 chipset and cost 1999 yuan (~RM1321). On the other hand, the top-tier Redmi K50 Gaming will have the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and command a price tag of 3499 yuan (~RM2313). For reference, we've listed some details for all four models below.

Now, what's interesting is that the source went on to provide the global launch window for the Redmi K50 series. Allegedly, Xiaomi plans to hold the global launch at the end of March or in April. These affordable flagships would be branded as the Redmi K50 series for selected markets. But some countries will probably receive these devices under the POCO brand. Which would Malaysia get? We're not sure about that yet.
