Redmi K50i release: MTK Dimensity 8100, 144Hz display, and 67W fast charging, starts from ~RM1,447

As scheduled, the Redmi K50i has landed in India today. The device no doubt belongs to the mid-tier with the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC, but it has some flagship-level specs that might make it stand out among the others. Now, let's continue reading to know more about the Redmi K50i.

The device sports a 6.6-inch LCD with an adaptive 144Hz refresh rate. It's worth mentioning that the panel is of the Fringe Field Switching (FFS) variety, and it's the first Redmi phone with Dolby Vision support. Under the hood, it packs a 5,080 mAh battery supporting 67W fast charging.

Furthermore, the Redmi K50i comes with a triple-camera setup that consists of a 64MP ISOCELL GW 1 primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide module and a 2MP macro cam on the back. The front uses a 16MP sensor housed in the centred punch-hole cutout. Other features include Gorilla Glass 5, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, IR port, Dolby Atmos, MIUI 13 based on Android 12, and more.

The device starts with a 6/128GB configuration, priced at INR 25,999 (~RM1,447). There is another variant with 8/128GB trim going for INR 28,999 (~RM1,614). It will be available in three colour options - Black, Blue, and Silver. For now, it's unsure if it will make it to Malaysia, but we will let you know once we receive any information.
