Besides the rest of the new Xiaomi products, Lei Jun also unveiled a new Redmi K60 Ultra device at the event. This phone has been hyped up for quite a while now and it's Redmi's most premium phone yet. Here are some things that you should know about it.

During the presentation, the Redmi K60 Ultra was revealed to sport a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset and with up to an incredible 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. That's probably the highlight of the entire tech specs list but there's more, the phone also has a 6.67-inch 144Hz OLED display with 1.5K resolution, 2880Hz PWM frequency and 2600nits peak brightness.

Moving on, the 20MP sensor is a punch-hole cutout front camera on the display in the top centre, whereas the triple rear camera consists of 50MP Sony IMX800 primary camera. It's also accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro sensor. The battery pack is huge too, sitting at 5000mAh with 120W fast wired charging.

Besides that, there are a couple of features that the K60 Ultra has. It also has an IP68 water and dust resistance rating which is a first for the Redmi series, a pair of stereo speakings, a PixelWorks X7 display chip and finally, running on MIUI 14 based on Android 13. There are a total of five models which can be seen below:

  • 12GB + 256GB - 2599 Yuan (~RM1664)
  • 16GB + 256GB - 2799 Yuan (~RM1792)
  • 16GB + 512GB - 2999 Yuan (~RM1920)
  • 16GB + 1TB - 3299 Yuan (~RM2112)
  • 24GB + 1TB - 3599 Yuan (~RM2304)

While the Redmi series is quite popular in Malaysia, the Redmi K series has never set foot here as most of the time, it would sometimes get rebadged as a POCO device. Guess we just have to wait and see what Xiaomi Malaysia says if the phone is ever coming here.
