The Redmi Note 12 series is gearing up for a launch on 27 October. Before that day arrives, the official Redmi Weibo account confirms that the Note 12 Pro will feature Sony IMX766 sensor for its primary camera and supports optical image stabilization (OIS).

Sony IMX766 comes with a 1/1.56-inch outsole and 2μm fusion large pixels. It also supports OIS. Considering many current mid-range offerings don't have the photography feature, Redmi Note 12 Pro could stand out more in the competition. Besides that, the slogan of the upcoming launch event is "Image Awakening", and it sounds like we might see even more surprises in the camera department.

Rumour has it that the Redmi Note 12 will use a 6nm Dimensity 1080 chip for the first time. The processor has an octa-core CPU architecture design, including two ARM Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.6GHz, alongside the ARM Mali-G68 GPU. Furthermore, the Redmi Note 12 should come with a 67W charger. However, the Note 12 Pro and Note 12 Pro+ support 120W and 210W fast charging respectively.
