Redmi Note 12 Turbo release: Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2, 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED 120Hz display and more from ~RM1279

It’s been leaked recently, but the Redmi Note 12 Turbo has been released from 1999 CNY (~RM1279). Featuring a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset, 8GB/12GB/16GB RAM, 256GB/512GB/1TB storage and a 6.67-inch 12-bit flexible OLED display with FHD+ resolution, 1000 nits peak brightness 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 120Hz refresh rate and both HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support. 

Other notable tech specs include the 64MP (OIS) + 8MP (ultra-wide angle) + 2MP (macro) triple rear cameras while on the front there’s a 16MP camera in a punch hole in the top center of the display. On top of the 5000 mAh battery with 67W fast charging, the phone also has a 3725mm vapor cooling chamber with support for dual 5G, WiFi 6, NFC, an IR Blaster and a 3.5mm audio jack.

While no Malaysia release dates or pricing details were revealed just yet, the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is going for 1999 CNY (~RM1279). The 12GB RAM + 256GB version is going for 2099 CNY (~RM1343) while the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage version is priced at 2299 CNY (~RM1471). The highest-end version offers 16GB RAM and 1TB storage for 2599 CNY (~RM1663).

The phone will be available in Carbon Black, Ice Feather white and Xinghai Blue. It will come with MIUI 14 (Android 13). Early benchmarks have placed the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset as fast as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, which could make the Redmi Note 12 Turbo the midrange gaming phone to beat.
