Redmi Note 12 Turbo to launch this 28 March, world’s first Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 device

Previously, we reported on the release of the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC, Qualcomm’s latest ‘flagship’ chipset for mid-range devices. Well, we don’t have to wait long before seeing the processor in action as it will be powering the Redmi Note 12 Turbo that’s launching on 28 March 2023. 

Taking to its official Weibo page, the Xiaomi subsidiary announced that the latest variant of the Note 12 series will be making its debut in China on the aforementioned date at 7pm local time. While not much info regarding the device was mentioned, Redmi did confirm that the Note 12 Turbo will be the first smartphone to use the new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC.

Furthermore, Redmi also showed off the rear of the device which has a rather unique marble-esque design. The renders also show a triple-camera setup with the main camera being a 64MP shooter. 

Besides that, the Note 12 Turbo sports a USB-C port and a 3.5mm audio jack at the top. That's about all we know for sure about the device and it’d be interesting to see how the Note 12 Turbo will perform with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC on board.
