Some of you may have noticed that the tablet is experiencing a resurgence of sorts. In the last year or so, we've seen more Android tablets than in previous years. Among the many, the Xiaomi Pad 5 offers quite a bit of value for money. But Redmi could top that with its own tablet.

A report from ITHome indicates that Xiaomi could launch a new Android tablet, in the form of the Redmi Pad 5G. The proof is a questionnaire that the Xiaomi Community in China received, which asked for the user's tablet model. Interestingly, the Redmi Pad 5G was listed as an option, even though the device is not even out on the market yet.

Of course, this questionnaire alone doesn't tell us anything useful. The only thing it confirms is that the device would feature a chipset with 5G connectivity. Sources claim that the Redmi Pad 5G could be a more affordable variant of the Xiaomi Pad 5G, which is equipped with a Snapdragon 860 5G chipset. It could also be intended to compete with the MediaTek Helio G80-powered realme Pad.

As usual, most of the above is speculation since we don't have any solid info, so take it with a grain of salt. But would you be interested in a possibly cheaper version of the Xiaomi Pad 5? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news about it.
