Xiaomi today announced the release of its latest affordable tablet under its Redmi brand in Malaysia, the Redmi Pad SE 8.7 series. Comprising the Pad SE 8.7 and the Pad SE 8.7 4G, read on to learn more.
Both tablets are identical, except that the 4G variant, as the name would suggest, has cellular connectivity. Under the hood, the tablet is powered by the Helio G85 SoC paired with up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB storage.
Battery-wise, the tablet has a 6650mAh cell which supports 18W charging via the USB-C port. Meanwhile, the display is an 8.7-inch 90Hz LCD with 600 nits peak brightness, 10-bit colour depth, 1340 x 800 pixels resolution and TUV Rheinland Flicker Free certification.
Other notable specs include an 8MP main camera a 5MP selfie shooter, an optional Pad SE 8.7 cover accessory, Dolby Atmos dual stereo speakers, Bluetooth 5.3 and colour options of either Graphite Grey, Aurora Green or Sky Blue. In Malaysia, the Pad SE 8.7 is priced at RM599 for 6/128GB, while the 4G variant is priced at RM599 for 4/64GB and RM699 for 6/128GB.
