The next model in Xiaomi's Turbo series is getting closer to launch as the Redmi Turbo 5 has been spotted in China's radio certification database. So, what should you know about it?
The new phone might feature an excellent battery and charging speed
According to the latest information, the Redmi Turbo 5 could feature a flat OLED display with curved corners, support 1.5K resolution and be equipped with an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner.

This is a significant improvement over the Turbo 4, which used an optical sensor. The Redmi Turbo 5 will also come with a large 9000mAh silicon battery with 100W fast charging, making it one of the longest-lasting phones in its class.
The design is said to retain the minimalist style of its predecessor, but now offers full waterproofing, likely with an IP68 or IP69 rating. While the processor chip has not been confirmed, early reports expect the Turbo 5 to be powered by the Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset, which is expected to debut in the OPPO Reno 15 Pro this November.
According to the same source, the Redmi Turbo 5 will be launched in China in the first quarter of 2026, with the global version likely to be introduced as the Poco X8 Pro in the same period. Unfortunately, there is no Malaysia release date for the device. So, we should wait for more announcements from Redmi.
