It looks like next week is going to be a Redmi bonanza. Xiaomi has announced that the Redmi Note 11 series and Redmi Watch 2 will launch on 28 October 2021, and some vague details of the devices have begun to appear. The latter would even feature some upgrades.

According to Xiaomi, the Redmi Watch 2 would feature two major upgrades to its display. The first would be the display size, which is now a 1.6-inch screen instead of 1.4-inch. It also has a large screen-to-body ratio, thanks to the narrow bezels. Another big upgrade would be the transition from LCD to AMOLED, which will offer better colours and image quality.

Since the size has been upgraded, the battery could also be upgraded from 230mAh. Moreover, we're expecting to see other upgrades and new features, such as eSIM support for Bluetooth calls and new sensors. Sources also claim that the price is 299 yuan (~RM194), but expect the local price to be higher since its predecessor costs RM249.

Considering that the first model launched as the Mi Watch Lite here, Xiaomi could also rebrand the Redmi Watch 2 for Malaysia. With that said, would you be interested in getting the new model? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
